Made with a softer silicone material, DiaSil will cause less trauma to a patient’s vessel walls and conform to the vessel anatomy more easily than similar polyurethane catheters.

DiaSil catheters offer a number of benefits versus polyurethane catheters:

  • DiaSil is less harmful to vein walls during catheter insertion
  • DiaSil provides on-going protection to vein walls and allows greater patient mobility, particularly with femoral insertions.
  • DiaSil’s catheter body is more kink-resistant
  • DiaSil’s extentions retain their tensile strength significantly longer than polyurethane extensions
